Ok, here is a trivia question - and I do this one from my trivia calendar, but more importantly because my husband is in the golf business and is coming home from THE golf convention. I am not sure how much he frequents the blog, but we will see if he knows this answer. Answer on Sunday afternoon.

Answer: Gene Sarazen, in 1931. He called it the sand iron.
