Sing it over and over and over again...
This evening I was listening to Friday's Pray as you Go meditation (a day late, but just as meaningful) each meditation begins with a piece of sacred music - may be chant, classical, or contemporary. This music selection was Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré - what is it about that piece of music that mesmerizes me - that I could listen to it countless times and never tire of it (I could say the same the same of the requiems of Faure and Mozart. Is that a sign of GREAT music? Do you have music that puts you in a different world? If so, what is it?

I feel the same way about that piece, Cathy. It has so much texture.
I love music! The type of music I play often depends on what mood I am in but there are so many songs that touch my heart.
But now, with the title of this post, an old hymn is going through my mind, "Sing it o'er and o'er again, Christ redeemeth sinful men...." I haven't thought of that song in many, many years.
Oh, Cathy, we have similar musical tastes! I'm also fond of the Bach Passions and anything Brahms. When I can't find the words to talk to God (and need to), music helps me get there.
Beautiful! I'm going to start making this part of our daily devotions, if they are all this good.
